Zencker's diverticulum in an 86 year-old woman undergoing gastrostomy tube placement. Left: View of the pharynx showing the circular orifice of the diverticulum, to the right of which is the triangular opening of the trachea formed by the vocal cords. Right: Entry into the diverticulum revealed this smooth, blind ending of the pouch.

Traction diverticulum of the mid-esophagus, simulating a double lumen. Note the light reflection from the base of the diverticulum on the right.
