67 year-old woman with six months of increasing dysphagia, epigastric pain and
weight loss. Endoscopy revealed a partially obstructing neoplasm in the
midesophagus (left), a relatively normal distal esophagus, and a poorly
distensible stomach with a proximal gastric mass (center and right).
The gastric mass was difficult to view en face due to poor
distensibility of the stomach. Biopsy of both lesions showed squamous cell
carcinoma on biopsy.

carcinoma of the breast. Endoscopy revealed an infiltrating process involving
the proximal gastric body. Shown here is the transition from carcinoma to normal
mucosa. Biopsies were consistent with metastatic adenocarcinoma of the breast.
